NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC
The Assessor of Lafourche Parish will hold a public hearing at 10:30 AM. on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, in the office of the Assessor, located at 403 St. Louis St., Thibodaux, Louisiana for the purpose of hearing written and oral comments from the public concerning the proposed 2026 budget of revenues and expenditures as listed.
A copy of the complete budget is available for public inspection from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on weekdays at the office of the Assessor.
NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC
Notice is hereby given that the assessment listings in the Parish of Lafourche for 2025 will be exposed for a period of 15 days from August 15, 2025 through August 29, 2025.
Any taxpayer, who desires, has the right to protest the values fixed at a meeting of the Lafourche Parish Council to be called for this purpose at the Matthews Government Complex, 4876 Highway 1, Matthews, Louisiana at 6:00 p.m. on September 9, 2025.
Any person desiring to know what values have been placed on their property is hereby notified to inquire at the Lafourche Parish Assessor’s Office, 403 St. Louis Street, Thibodaux, Louisiana, by calling (985) 447-7242 or by website www. lpao.net.
Appeals must be submitted in writing to the Lafourche Parish Council by certified mail at P.O. Drawer 5548, Thibodaux, LA, 70302 or in person at 402 Green Street by September 2, 2025 and all information concerning the value of your property must be submitted to your assessor before the deadline for filing an appeal with the Board of Review in person or by mail to 403 St. Louis Street, Thibodaux, Louisiana. Failure to submit such information may prevent you from relying on that information should you protest your value.

Notice is hereby given that the Lafourche Parish Council will meet, as the Board of Review, on September 9, 2025 at 6:00 P.M. at their Matthews Government Complex – address of 4876 Highway 1, Matthews, Louisiana 70394 (Old Walmart Building), for the purpose of receiving protests on values of property for assessment purposes, in this parish fixed by the Assessor of Lafourche Parish.
Appeals must be submitted in writing to the Lafourche Parish Council by certified mail at P.O. Drawer 5548, Thibodaux, LA, 70302 or in person at 402 Green Street, Thibodaux, Louisiana by September 2, 2025.
